Dirty Fences: Five bands we’re into

Dirty Fences are back with their new record Goodbye Love. We asked the band to reflect on some of their favorite up and coming or under the radar musicians and bands which we’ve compiled into this tidy list below.

Real Tears

Base out of Sweden, these guys are fast and poppy and dumb in the best way. Their album, Too Cool To Rock certainly brings the well-needed heat in the vein of the Dickies and Ramones. And to top it off, they look like a bunch of goofballs. SOLD!

Nat Brower

This guy is the truth! The secret weapon! Great songwriting! Great George Harrison-style guitar! Impeccable harmonies! And he’s our best bud! It’s hard to sum it all up but try and imagine that Andy Kaufman and The Beach Boys had a baby. Imagine Nat was this kid’s nanny. Despite the age difference they’d be inseparable. Cat Stevens would drop by for tea every once in a blue moon.

Faux Ferocious

Four sweet angel boys from Nashville, Faux ferocious play that robotic Lou Reed boogie. Tough as nails. Their recordings are incredible but check em live. They are as tight as it comes. They’re punk! There cosmic!

Giuda

This is some serious boot-stompin’ soccer glam coming from Rome! Every song makes you want to kick any type of “ball” into anything that slightly resembles a “goal.” Four on the floor with an AC/DC charge! And I have a crush on the lead singer. He’s dyno-myte! C’mon Giuda, get that goal!!

Big Huge

Solid catchy guitar hooks with sweet sensual Prince/Michael Jackson lead vocals. There’s a lot going on here, and we always have a blast playing with these guys. They have a new album called Cruel World.

Goodbye Love is out on 10/27, preorder it here and stop by their record release November 3rd at Diviera Drive, details and tickets here.
