Azikiwe Mohammed, an artist known for his exploration of Blackness in America is showing a new body of work at IDIO Gallery from January 28th through February 12th. This new body of work and exhibition Potential Futures / Black Receipts was inspired by a recent symbiotic and cathartic trip the artist took into some of the most densely populated Black cities in America. A concerningly important and contentious subject in our current socio-political environment, the exhibition will showcase Mohammed’s work in a variety of forms including photography, textiles and sculptures.
Swing by IDIO Gallery on the 28th for the opening or catch the exhibition anytime until February 12th. More details here.
