The west coast may be killing it currently in terms of breathy voiced girls with electronically drenched confessionals (Lana Del Rey, Banks), but now the east coast has found its answer in Nina Yasmineh. She just released her Finest Hour EP, and shared “Prophecy” with us. It’s a handclap looped, simple track that really lets Yasmineh’s vocals shine. With lyrics like “I know I’ve been pushing you away / I just got so used to being brave,” it’s a classic “tough girl lets her guard down” track. There’s plenty of promise here, and Yasmineh’s finest hour is still to come. Listen below.
