Detroit’s Turn To Crime just released “Without A Care,” the third single from their upcoming sophomore album, Action. The trio craft minimal, off-kilter pop, and “Without A Care” is a restless and sweet track, powered by thumping drums, spastic guitar riffs, and warm, repetitive melodies. There’s something simple and young permeating through the music, calling to mind a high school summer drive — the windows down, the radio loud — just before everyone heads off to who knows where. The weather may be stubbornly cold here in NYC, but this single will keep you warm with some easy, free-spirited nostalgia.
