Mad Max: Fury Road was one of the few recent blockbuster movies that didn’t make me wish I didn’t have eyes. Tom Hardy is one of those actors whose movies you can trust just by the merit of him being in them. Aside from that it was a dazzling display of creativity and cinema work that put to shame every other CGI-filled movie of the last ten years.
If you’re itching to see it again on the big screen it’ll be screening at Nitehawk on March 15th for $30. I know that seems a little steep for a movie ticket but every ticket includes a copy of Why I March, a book chronicling the women’s marches around the world following our most recent presidential election. Aaand a portion of proceeds from the night are going to several non-profits including the Transgender Law Center, The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and more.
