Premiere: Bratboy “Victoria”

An ode to 60s mod style and b-list spy movies, the stylish and insanely catchy Bratboy share their latest video and single for “Victoria”. Shot amongst friends in British Columbia with the help of a drone and some expert color grading, the video instantly transports you to another era and appropriately so with the tune that leans into surf and pop elements from back in the day.

The band shared: We wanted this video to be a tribute to our favourite spy b-movies and the comedies that raised us, ie. Austin Powers and Scooby Doo. We did this video completely DIY with the help of our friends in the band Dead Soft. We even found a random guy shucking oysters at the beach and asked him to join us in a chase scene. It’s amazing what you can do with a few friends and a drone…

There are few bands that can pay tribute to an era musically and stylistically while maintaining a sense of authenticity and originality and Bratboy do so beautifully. They’ll be celebrating the release tomorrow night at The Fox Cabaret in Vancouver, BC
