Watch: Touchy’s “Secret Melody”

As we get ready to be buzzed in a club under multicolored lights and (ideally) a disco ball, Touchy gets us appropriately prepped with a new dreamy, synth track to float away to. Think if Beach House was disco. The eye-catching video for “Secret Melody” is dripping in fringe, doused in glitter, and exists in its own retro, space-age universe. Inspired by the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Patrick Cowley, Brigitte Bardot, and Space, the duo’s unique conceptualization of synth-pop past celebrates its history and predecessors, but with their own signature stamp.

We were robbed of Touchy’s US debut pre-pandemic, which their first date in the states scheduled for March 14, 2020 (RIP). Emerging from that, the duo has released “Touchy” as part of Dangerbird Records’ Microdose series curated by label rep Jim Fairchild (Modest Mouse, Grandaddy).

Keep up with Touchy and Dangerbird Records.
