Besides spearheading Breakup Records, a boutique music label based in Portland, multi-talented power couple Alex and Sierra Haager craft dreamy yet gritty “slow-fi” jams with their band bed. Alongside Andrew Meininger (formerly of Wampire), bed. is equal parts grunge, pop, and lo-fi charm, and we are stoked to premiere the video for their fourth single, “Fremm.”
The video, directed by Jess N. Pierson, is a collage of the trio driving, enjoying some downtime, and staring off into hazy landscapes, which all meshes seamlessly with the track’s loud-soft dynamics and Alex and Sierra’s sweet, intertwining vocals. Powered by dirty bass tones, wispy melodies, and a leisurely tempo, “Fremm” is an earworm that’ll crawl in nice and tender but then downright refuse to leave. Alternating their parts, Alex and Sierra sing a simple yet utterly satisfying refrain: “We shouldn’t wait / ’til the morning / We shouldn’t wait / This shit is boring / We shouldn’t wait / I’m on your side.” One thing is for sure — this shit is far from boring, and we know you’re going to love their raw vibes and camaraderie.
