London and New York City-based singer Suzy Clue provides early 2000s-tinged goth-punk restlessness on her new single, “Uneasy.”
The angsty, metal guitar-driven track is reminiscent of early, thrashing Deftones. Suzy breathily sings of a burning desire to love, even if it means emotionally charged inner turmoil and a beguilling thirst for toxicity come along with: “I am sinking to my bones / You break me down / Trying to invade my skin / And seize me / I want to take you in / Now I will / Break.”
In the beautifully shot and edited music video, Suzy Clue is giving serious Shoegazy-Grunge-Numetal vibes.
“This song is about longing,” Suzy Clue shares. “The visceral feeling of desperation for someone and overwhelming chaos that takes over you when you’re totally obsessed and in love.”
The track is the up-and-coming artist’s third release. She dropped her first hit, “Remember Me,” in 2023 and “Holy Touch” in 2024.
