Review: Dynasty Electric @ Bowery Ballroom (10/18)
Dynasty Electric, psych-pop duo out of Brooklyn, is the most magnetic energy that I’ve seen in a while. Whether its vocalist Jenny Electrik’s commanding movements on stage, multi-instrumentalist Seth Misterka’s lovely locks, or visiting bassist Mantis Evar’s cheetah print suit a la Steven Tyler, this group works so well. I spoke with them after their set at Bowery Electric and Jenny explained the influences of their new album Euphoria, which is released on November 12th. Having traveled the globe, Dynasty Electric collaborated with musicians and producers of many backgrounds to create a very particular, while still accessible, album.
