Brooklyn trio BOYTOY are a sprightly combo of pop, punk, and noise. Interweaving bouts of distorted guitar, tight drum work, and cooing vocals form the the foundation of their sunny yet forceful sound. While it may have taken the breakup of their previous acts to bring about this new sound, Saara, Glenn, and Matt have definitely claimed a sweet spot in Brooklyn’s indie scene, creating songs that are as nostalgic as they are downright fun.
Recently, they had the pleasure of debuting “TV Dreams,” a single off their upcoming self-titled EP, on Spin, which you can find below. Now, we were able to catch up with the trio to find out some of the awesome things that inspire their bodies and minds, from beets to sneaks to RVs.
