Rapper Angel Haze, who has previously done interesting cover renditions, dropped another gem this week. It comes in the form of a reworking of Kanye West’s “New Slaves” and it contains the most socially conscious verses she’s dropped so far. In half the time of West’s track, Haze tackles racism, rape, and student debt — and she never comes off as preachy. Her reason for the cover?
