In it’s second iteration, Babes All Rock is back and taking over Trans Pecos this Sunday. The festival by Hi Tide features a lineup of bands led by non-male identifying individuals and was designed to shine a light on the music being created by womxn in NYC who all too often are playing in the only non-all-male band on a bill. While the music industry has historically been curated by and around men, New York has a rich culture of non-male identifying artists who don’t always receive the showcasing they deserve. The night will feature Crazy Pills, Sharkmuffin, Theophobia, Lady Bits, Catty, New Myths, tubafresh, PowerSnap, and DJ set by Maria Lina. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Mount Sinai SAVI Program, which aids survivors of sexual assault in NYC.
