Danish musician and artist Elias Rønnenfelt, best known as the frontman of Iceage, is showcasing his creative range once again, this time with a special screening in New York City. At 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, Rønnenfelt will present his 15-minute short film “Off Right” at Roxy Cinema, offering audiences a glimpse into his vision beyond music.
With his brooding soundscapes and commanding stage presence, the film by Jacob Bixenman, exhibiting Rønnenfelt at Giorno Poetry Systems and in conversation with Elizabeth Peyton at William S. Burrough’s former bedroom, carries a similar emotional weight — a disillusionist interiority told through sight and sound.
Tickets to the screening are limited, so make sure to get yours before they sell out. The film offers a perfect prelude to the atmospheric intensity of Rønnenfelt’s performances. All attendees will have guaranteed access to the official after-party. Purchase your ticket to the screening here.
