Dasher is a punk band from Atlanta whose jagged sounds have recently made their way into our ears. Their style is reminiscent of post punk as well as proto punk stalwarts such as Suicide. The band released an LP last January, and now returns with a new 7″ on Die Slaughterhaus. The A-side of said 7″ is titled “Go Rambo,” and while it’s short, it certainly makes an impact. The first thing you hear on the track is an angular guitar riff, which gives away the band’s post punk influences immediately. The song is a blistering two minutes and 13 seconds long, sludged on by reverb soaked backbeat and vocals. It’s quite promising, and hopefully we will hear more from the band in the not too distant future. Check out “Go Rambo” below.
