Many of us at Alt Citizen are still mourning the death of Lou Reed. One of his albums with Velvet Underground, White Light/White Heat, is coming up on its 45th anniversary of release. To commemorate this occasion, Burger Records will release a collection of covers. Gap Dream will be covering “Sister Ray” for the compilation, and their version has now been unveiled to the masses. It takes the songs grimy underbelly and replaces it with psychedelic flourish. If you are going to cover a song, you should really try to completely re-imagine it, and that is what Gap Dream have accomplished. Give it a listen below:
