Ah yes, the good ol’ walk of shame. We’ve probably all been there at some point -– maybe we got lucky with the guy/gal we’ve been crushing on for months, or we ended up making out and/or cuddling with some random person we met at the bar, or we simply passed out on a couch that wasn’t ours –- and then woke up to the realization that we now have to make the trek back home in last night’s clothes while onlookers silently judge us with their cold, hard stares. I’ve learned that there’s two ways of approaching this inevitable part of your morning: 1. You can put your head down and power-walk to the nearest subway station/bus/cab/etc. while texting your friends, ‘OMG I hate my life’ and feeling sorry for yourself, or 2. You can sashay into the nearest bodega, buy yourself a ginger ale, and proudly strut home whilst reveling in how fun and exciting your life is! The second option is obviously less depressing, so when you find yourself in this situation, remember to take pride in your late-night accomplishments, and let this playlist carry you past all of the boring people on their way to brunch.
