Mourn, a young grunge-y quartet from Barcelona, just released the driving new single “Gertrudis, Get Through This!” The melodies go from clipped and full of post-punk malaise to desperate howls, all carried by grinding, discordant guitar riffs and restless percussion. Mourn have a knack for crafting quick, biting tracks, and “Gertrudis, Get Through This!” is a perfect example of this winning formula. For a band this young, their performance and sensibilities are extremely tight.
