Listen: NehruvianDOOM “OM”

NehruvianDOOM album cover

NehruvianDOOMA beat that is a throwback to vintage Wu Tang, hardcore flow and lyrics that could narrate an urban Kung Fu movie all come together to create a masterful hip-hop meditation or more simply put—a killer track. NehruvianDOOM may have reached hip-hop nirvana with the release of “OM”—yes, like the frenetically pronounced sound made while meditating. The group formed when 17-year-old up-and-coming wordsmith Bishop Nehru collaborated with the legendary British-born, Long Island-raised rapper/producer MF DOOM.

The single has fans hype about the pair’s self-titled debut expected to drop September 22. The audio video for “OM” has over 100,000 views on YouTube in the first five days since being posted and the 10-track album has over 13 reviews on ITunes even though it hasn’t been released yet. The track has a killer cinematic intro, addictive hook and diabolic beat all music fans can appreciate—even if they aren’t in pursuit of true dharma.
