Up and coming Cardiff rock act Radstewart, whose name might be a play on words on the name of rock icon Rod Stewart, will be releasing a new EP, excellently titled Wiccans and Beatlemancers, on Alcopop! Records in March. They’ve also released one of the songs from said EP, “Insane Parties.”
It’s a song that in some ways admonishes and glorifies the college kid party lifestyle at the same time. It largely comes from the perspective of someone who seems to hate the idea of “Insane Parties” but also has a tinge of jealousy to it. This is all backed by a meandering guitar and a simple yet effective drum and bass backing. It also contains a lyrics that we can all learn from: “If you go out and get drunk in a Native American headdress then you’re a c#nt (used in the British sense of course).” Listen below.
