Music Discovery is Everything: A Playlist by Harry Smith

Drummer extraordinaire of “9 local bands” and your favorite afters-participant funny guy, Harry Smith, has provided us with a heat string of songs. Harry has played drums for Arsun, Bindy, Yeah Baby, Jonah P, John Joseph, and Playshoes, and is currently in Whaat, Super G, and Harry Smith Trio. A New Yorker of nearly 10 years, Harry has indulged himself in the many music-related offerings the city has to offer, from attending The New School and studying drums to regularly playing or filling in for gigs at local music-freak favorite venues like Nublu. If you’re looking for a drummer, you can likely find Harry at the Nublu Classic bar or in a studio during early morning hours, messing around with a kit.

You can hear jazz, pop, rock, hip hop, and more on Harry’s melting pot of a playlist. I never expected Thelonious Monk and Three 6 Mafia to be fitting on a mix together. But don’t knock it till you try it.
