Shark Week, a boisterous DC-based surf rock outfit, is set to release their debut album Beach Fuzz next month, and we have the exclusive pleasure of premiering “Waste of time,” a propulsive new track powered by frenzied drum work, smokey vocals, and catchy pop melodies. “You’re a waste of time / It’s true” singer Ryan Hunter Mitchell croons, and you can’t help imagine him delivering every lyric with a smirk. There’s an endearing coyness permeating through the track, and whether it’s from the wonderfully danceable rhythms or head-bopping choruses, we can’t wait to hear more. Give it a spin and let loose.
