Watch: Björk “Black Lake”

If you didn’t make it out to Björk’s career-spanning exhibition at the MoMa, we’ve got the next best thing. Your favorite otherworldly music sensation just released her museum-commissioned 10-minute short film for “Black Lake,” a sprawling epic from her most recent album, Vulnicura. Shot on location in Iceland, the film explores dark, expansive landscapes that include winding caves and moss-laden fields, a journey which the YouTube description says “reflects ideas of pain, perishing, and rebirth.” One thing is clear: this performance artist extraordinaire is at the top of her game, and, coupled with her moody, restless composition, this music video becomes visceral, all-encompassing experience.
