Fear of Men’s music video for “America” is a compilation of homemade tour footage. We see the band playing small club shows, exploring deserts and mountains, investigating A&W’s, and celebrating birthdays as they take on the good ol’ U-S-of-A with their post-punk charm. It’s the exact opposite of a Motley Crüe music video. It’s intimate, tosses away the rockstar glamour, and gives a glimpse into the average day of “life on the road.” During the instrumental breakdown, it’s great to see the band violently strumming away — showing off their intensity that’s used sparingly. “America,” itself, is catchy and certainly a staple off their upcoming record. So, if you’re feeling that America is “drifting out of reach,” and you need some post-punk comfort, watch below.
