Fucked Up’s new album, Glass Boys, is quickly approaching release. Each successive song we’ve heard from the album has been excellent, and new addition “Sun Glass” is no different. It’ another beautifully composed, fast paced, and lovingly brutal track from a band that has almost cornered the market on them.
The song is accompanied by a video that gives us a charming look into the life of the band (or maybe what they want us to think is a day in the life of the band). Follow Damian as he smokes weed! Follow the band as they eat ice cream in a graveyard! Check out their awesomely punk family, friends, and fans! It might be idyllic, but this is what I wish every music scene truly looked like. Welcoming, inclusionary, and comfortable, all with a little bit of an edge. It all has an overall sunny feeling, which is a little ironic for a band with a song called “I Hate Summer.” Check out the Ander Capper and Mike Haliechuk directed video below.
