Isaiah Rashad is the definition of up and coming. His first release for Top Dawg, aka the hottest rap group in the world, is out this week. His video for “Soliloquy” shows why they were so eager to add him to the team. The Christopher Parsons directed video keeps it simple. It’s set in black and white, and follows Rashad as he speaks his mind. Parsons plays with the lighting a lot, giving the video an added layer. It’s effective without trying to do too much. Rashad’s going to garner comparisons to Kendrick Lamar, and while it might not be fair to him, it’s a pretty nice compliment right now. Watch below.
