“1984 is now” seems to be the prevailing sentiment throughout M.I.A.’s self-directed video for “Double Bubble Trouble.” Someone like M.I.A. is very aware of the Orwellian future ahead of us, I mean, do you have any NFL fines to pay? There’s way too much going on for me to summarize here, but it includes 3D printed guns and drones and M.I.A. bursting tons of bubbles. The highlight is after the 2:30 mark where there’s a choreographed dance with neon drones flying overhead. The queen of DGAF does it again. Watch below.
