SZA’s spacey, soulful vibe continues to shine in her new video for “Warm Winds,” a track off of her recently released Z EP. The song and video feature vocal work by rapper Isaiah Rashad, who wanders with SZA through a grove of barren trees and other empty, rural landscapes. The video, which opens with SZA praying, “Dear God, make me a bird, so I can fly far — far, far away,” is simple and melancholy, and the pair’s slow, expressive movements drive both its rhythm and and atmosphere. Combined with a hazy focus and jittery editing, the video provides the perfect haunting yet pensive world for SZA’s blend of R&B and pop. Check out the video below.
