I don’t know if indie pop is having a moment right now or I’m just starting to pay attention. If this is a moment or a movement, though, Claud will likely catapult to its forefront. Their latest release, the bittersweet, synth-heavy “Easy”, feels like both the beginning and end of a relationship. The “will they/won’t they” excitement starts to fade as doubts creep in about if they’re losing interest or will ever publicly admit to being with you. Perhaps too empathetic, Claud is willing to do anything for someone who might not be ready to be all in for them. That’s okay, though. Claud isn’t trying to take the easy way out.
