The indie rock veterans in Spoon just released “Do You,” the first official single off their upcoming album, They Want My Soul. It’s a colorful pop rock jam that exudes carefree summer grit, and between the simple sway of the guitar rhythms and the contrast of singer Britt Daniels’s gruff vocals and the wistful background harmonies, there should be nothing standing between you, some cold beers, and a little easy dancing. Coupled with the “Rent I Pay” and “Rainy Taxi,” their first offering in some four odd years is shaping up to be well worth the wait.
