November 11-14th: Freakout Festival @ Ballard, WA

There are few cities who are as passionate about local music as Seattle. Whether it is the support granted from KEXP, the plethora of independent labels locally, or the festivals that give those artists a platform, this is a city committed to uplifting and showcasing the talent in their own backyard. Bringing together that talent with acts supported by local labels and some friends from out of town, Seattle-based Freakout Records presents their annual festival: Freakout Fest.

This year’s lineup spans 4 days and various venues in the Ballard area — making the neighborhood itself the backdrop for the festival. Local mainstays like Acid Tongue, The Black Tones, and Monsterwatch are joined by the likes of The Mystery Lights, Death Valley Girls, Liz Cooper, Levitation Room, Sugar Candy Mountain, The Shivas, and more. With pre-parties and after parties added to the mix, it’s going to be a marathon, not a sprint, type of weekend.

There’s still time to get single-day and multi-day tix, but the festivities start tomorrow so act fast.
