A demo that didn’t make the cut for Grimes’ next album, the music video for “REALiTi” was made as a ‘thank you’ for those who came out to her shows in Asia. The video is a mixture of tour footage and Boucher dancing wildly while singing along to the lyrics of her song. It’s picturesque and gives a perfect visual to the chill energy that is characteristic for most of Grimes’ music. I couldn’t help but compare my own dance moves with Boucher’s as she twirled around and bobbed her shoulders to steady, electronic beats. The song itself is catchy, belonging in some new-age discothèque that hasn’t been invented yet. If this song wasn’t good enough to make the cut, one can only wonder what will be on her next record.
