What’s in the van? with Death Valley Girls

No matter where I’ve lived, no matter what city I’ve visited for work or for pleasure, I’ve never missed a Death Valley Girls show if they’re in town.

The enthusiastically occult four-piece with a penchant for the paranormal most certainly operates on a different plane of existence than their peers, comfortably inhabiting an alternate reality where the brief moments of acid-soaked communal enlightenment of the late 1960s never gave way to the helter-skelter of the comedown era. A permanent utopia of psychedelic idealism and unchecked hedonism existing beneath the looming shadow of existential paranoia and the otherworldly unknown.

Alt Citizen caught up with the band before a spell-binding set at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus and found out What’s in the van?, getting a crash course in their tour essentials from analog paranormal investigation gear to DVG approved literature. Check out the video below and fall under a Love Spell!

Death Valley Girls’ newest song is streaming on Spotify and be sure to follow the band on Instagram
