Chromeo slides on down into disco on their new single “Over Your Shoulder.” Bouncy and ever so full of machismo, the electrofunk duo’s newest seduction is the first sampling of White Women, the follow-up to their 2010 album, Business Casual. Undoubtedly, there will be comparisons to Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories, but I’m positive keen listeners and fans will recognize Chromeo has always operated on the outskirts of the genre. They’re just experimenting with new ways to move your feet, and pretty successfully, I might add.
No date for White Women as of yet, so those in NYC be sure to catch their show at Webster Hall November 14th. It’s one of only three live performances they intend to play this year!
