Comprised of Dominic Mena (guitar/vocals), Tim Lormor (drums), and David Dennis (bass), these Arizona natives have brought it all to the table with this new album. Tracks like “The Quiet” and “Born” give off strangely eerie vibes, yet also ultimately provide dance music to shake your fears away. Then tracks like “Have It Your Way” and “Describe Your Mess,” though still dancey tunes, start off slower and provide a dreamier atmosphere for you to zone out to. Recorded on an Otari 8-track tape machine and mastered by Joe Lambert (Deerhunter, Animal Collective, Washed Out), Strange Lot describes Gods & Clods as a story depicting the disappearance of middle class in our society today.
