Video Premiere: Cotillon “I Like People”

Well, he likes people who don’t like other people at least… Cotillon is the brilliant artists merging inspirations from both the east and west coast USA and Japanese cultures–parts of the hemisphere he’s spent much time in. His sophomore LP The Afternoons (out now on Burger Records/ Modern Sky USA) is inspired by big city living, French new wave, Japanese literature, uppers, downers and, of course, romance.

During his worldly adventures the video for “I Like People” was born. It takes you through a sombre, yet ambitious trip that looks hella fun. All while being accompanied by the buoyant vocals of Cotillon. The film was directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick, who has also worked with the likes of Mac DeMarco, Weyes Blood, Allah-Las and Nick Waterhouse.

It was also Cotillon’s birthday this past Monday (6/12), so why not say happy birthday to him at his show with Chasity Belt on June 20th ? More info here.
